Theo Schreurs is a Deventer sculptor. His sturdy, bronze figures are to be seen in several public places in the Netherlands. In 1992 his portrait of Joop den Uyl that was placed in the Second Chamber earned him a national reputation. Since then his figurative work has undergone a strikingly expressive development. The shapes of his sculptures have gradually become simpler, thus enhancing the essence of their expression.
Theo Schreurs’ sculptures are to be seen in galleries in and outside the Netherlands.
